Coaching
Why Choose Me as Your Coach?
“I commit to bringing my best self; to actively listen, to be curious, to challenge and ask questions to get to the heart of the matter”.
I hold a Professional Certificate in Coaching via the Henley Business School and am an ICF Professional Certified Coach abiding by their Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
I help business professionals with tailored one-to-one coaching. I am an intuitive and results-oriented coach providing a safe, non-judgemental space for individuals to explore and move towards desired goals. I support my clients to focus on what truly matters to them and a practical alignment to their working environment.
I have a range of experience and tools to work with you as a unique individual. My role as coach is to help you gain new perspectives to change how you think and approach situations to get new and better results.
I use a combination of observation, questioning, listening and feedback to create a conversation rich in insight and learning. I give you a focus and attention that enables you to develop a greater awareness and appreciation of your own circumstances. I coach you to find new ways to resolve issues, produce better results and achieve your goals more easily.
Coaching is a commitment and investment in you
I will encourage you to stay committed to the coaching process. That means showing up for sessions, taking your own notes where appropriate, and keeping any agreements you make during sessions.
In addition, I ask you to be open to the potential of coaching. This means contributing to conversations honestly and openly. The strength and power of coaching relates directly to the level of openness and trust in this relationship. The more you are brave, courageous and prepared to deep dive into getting what you truly desire, the more you will gain from the coaching journey.

“Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential”

What Coaching is not
Coaching is none of the following:
Structured Training
Structured training relates to a fixed agenda of learning, and a prepared approach to making that learning happen.
Coaching follows a more flexible format, according to the person’s objectives. Both the coachee and the coach influence the direction and content of sessions. Coaching also places responsibility for learning on the individual and encourages learning to continue after the session e.g. through an agreed set of actions.
Therapy, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy
Whilst coaching is not therapy, and is not viewed as therapy, it does provide a viable alternative to people who may have previously considered some form of counselling to resolve a situation. For example, coaching promotes a greater self-awareness, and fuller appreciation of our own situations and circumstances. Sometimes, change can be promoted by a simple shift in perspectives. Barriers of self-belief such as “I can’t” or “I’m not” can be challenged to encourage fresh approaches and ideas.
A way of someone else solving your problems for you
Coaching is based on the principle that an individual is ultimately responsible for the results they’re creating. If we acknowledge that we are responsible for something, it follows that we have power and influence over it. For example, if you’re not getting the results at work that you want, a coach might encourage you to:
- Understand that situation more clearly
- Develop new ideas or approaches for those situations
- Take constructive action that gets you the results you want
What a coach will not do is instruct you to go and do something specific, or go and do it for you. If they did, the coach would be taking responsibility – and so power – away from you.
